Be it online or in real life, one key thing to to have an approproate level of ethusiasm. Not many would want to date the jaded cynic nor someone overly enthusiastic might be seen as not all that grounded.

All in all, an interesting post.

The thing about online dating is that, once in a great while, it DOES work. I met my wife on eHarmony 4 years ago. I was absolutely honest when I made my profile and so was she. It took longer than we wanted to meet, because she broke her leg right after we first contacted each other, and she didn’t want to meet for the first time while she was on crutches. But I sucked it up and dealt with the extended “phone stage,” and by the time we met we felt like old friends. Moved in together two years later and got married a year after that.
